What is the Paleo diet?

The paleo diet has one basic principle: eat real food. It is a framework for making food choices based on what will provide your body with optimum nutrition that is biologically appropriate for the human body.

Food is the foundation of good health. Meat, seafood and eggs; vegetables and fruits and healthy sources of fats all make you healthier.

Grains, legumes, dairy, sugar and alcohol are all foods that have significant downsides and do not contribute in a positive way to your health.

Choose foods that were raised, fed and grown naturally, and foods that are nutrient-dense with lots of naturally occurring vitamins and minerals.

Avoid foods that are processed or have ingredients that you can’t pronounce. Sub-optimal food usually comes in a box, a package or a plastic container.
