Hiking Near Engelberg
I’m not going to write much about this hike. Instead, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. This hiking adventure was about 1 1/2 hours from where I live. We headed out to Engleberg and went past it to the middle of nowhere to start our hike. We stumbled upon a little area called Stäfeli-äbnetalp and the views were stunning.
Lots of waterfalls along the way
This is the spot we ate our lunch at
I love running into Swiss cows when I’m out hiking. We found plenty of cows on this hike and we also came across some pigs and some goats.
Typical Swiss mountain dog breed the Berner Sennenhund
Not a bad life for a cow!
Goats wear bells just like the cows
The Alpine Flowers
The fields are just covered in flowers
Only problem is that wild flowers get stuck between my toes in my vibrams
And a few random sights…
Milk cans for milking the cows
You can always tell where you are in Switzerland by the flag that’s flying. This is the Canton Uri flag.
