The Bürkliplatz Farmer’s Market

Hard to believe I have lived here for 16 years and never went to the Farmer’s Market at Bürkliplatz until today (I swear though…I did eat vegetables over the last 16 years!). I decided I had to make a visit after Julie told me she got some wild boar spare ribs from the market last time she went. Sadly, I didn’t find any ribs myself (darn, I guess I’ll just have to go again). I was there on a Tuesday and it turns out that the butcher stands are only there on Fridays. I did, however, get some mouth-watering cherries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries.

And some really fresh and delicious tomatoes.

And how can you go to a Farmer’s Market and not get green leafy stuff?

I’m pretty bummed that I can only go to the market when I am on vacation from work. Another reason to quit my job! I guess I’ll have to bribe somebody to pick me up some kale from the market this fall..
